FACT: Women of color are more likely to experience maternal mental health conditions due to lack of access to healthcare services, racial bias and lack of culturally appropriate care.
FACT: Motherhood can be isolating, exhausting and defeating. Often the symptoms of postpartum depression and anxiety go untreated.
We help mothers struggling with maternal mental health conditions take care of themselves and their children by providing them with specialized services.

Our Story
Raising Mothers: It Takes A Village
1 in 5 mothers experience a Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorder (PMAD) and it is clear that there is a major lack of services specific to perinatal mental health in our community, on top of an already significant stigma surrounding mothers and mental health. But it doesn't have to be that way and we're working to change the conversation.
In 2019, I took the TEDx Fort Wayne stage to share my own isolating experience with Postpartum Depression and how we, as a community, need to R.A.I.S.E our mothers with Reverence Awareness Inclusion Support & Education.
Since sharing my story, more and more women have come out to me to share their own struggle with mental health in motherhood and the outpouring was tremendous. As a result, Mission: Motherhood was born.
When we are facing challenges, it’s helpful for us to be able to find support from others who understand exactly what we're going through, and that’s what you'll find at Mission: Motherhood.
